I have paid my 250€ down payment , what happens next?
When we receive your down payment, we will send you an official registration letter with a link to pay the balance. We will not send any registration confirmation unless we receive the down payment.
I have paid my down payment online, but the payment of the balance has been denied for some reason…
Ask your bank : most of the time, this might be because you have reached the upper limit of your credit card (security reasons when transacting abroad)
Can I earn credit by participating in the Summer Courses?
Yes, Your home institution will need to grant you credits. Please have your Registrar contact us.
Is the certificate internationally recognized?
No, while certificate is specific to our program, we do provide a transcript which you can present to you home institution.
Are the Summer Courses a good way to prepare for the TCF, DELF, DELFPRO, DALF, DILF exams?
Yes, but we do not organize the tests.
Do the Summer Courses carry the FLE certification?
No, this certification can only be obtained by having a minimum 4-month long program. Our Summer Courses are 4-weeks in length. However, our programs are strictly in accordance with the recommendations of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and taught by a team of professors specialized in French as a Foreign Language.
Can minor students apply to our program?
Yes, young people under 18 may participate but legal release and code of conduct agreement are required. Minors are housed in a student residence (as the other participants). Minors under 15 are preferably members of a group led by an accompanying teacher.
Is it possible to get a scholarship when participating in the Summer Courses?
There are currently no French organizations granting scholarships for the Summer Courses, but the home country or home institution might be able to grant you support. Please inquire with your financial aid counselor.
Do the Summer Courses have foreign partnerships?
Yes, we have several partnership agreements with foreign institutions. Hong Kong University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Dexin (Beijing, China), University of Nankai (China), Francophonie Francês (Brazil), Alliance Française of Lublin (Poland), University of Penza (Russia), Allons-Y Adventure Team (Indonesia), Association des Enseignants de Français de Russie (Association of French Teachers in Russia), University of Birmingham, Schreiner University (Kerrville, Texas), University of Tennessee at Martin, University of Pennsylvania, Ecole Pouchkine (Sakhalin), Universitas Indonesia (Jakarta), London School of Public Relation (Jakarta), etc. Other partnerships are currently under discussion.

Are the Summer Courses a service provided by the University of Lorraine?
No, we are pedagogically and administratively independent from the University of Lorraine.
However, the members of our governing board, the president of our Association and our Program Director are all professors of the University of Lorraine. Our courses are taught on the Law Campus of the University of Lorraine, and we partner with the CROUS to provide housing and meals for our participants.
